What Is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD/ADD?
ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Most people know it as a children’s disorder, but what is less well known is that most children with ADHD/ADD grow into adults with ADHD/ADD.
Adults with ADHD/ADD are often in the dark about their condition. They usually just feel disorganized, fragmented, and chaotic. They might have a hard time keeping jobs, making appointments on time, and getting projects completed.
ADHD/ADD is typically characterized by four things:
- Hyperactivity
- Distraction
- Impulsiveness
- Inattention
